St. Lucia Events & Attractions

Caribbean people love to celebrate! No matter which island you go to you are likely to find yourself close to someone dancing to original salsa, seductive jazz or sexy rumba. Caribbean festivals are famous for being vivid and passionate, filled with live music and dance, King and Queen elections and street parades. Carnivals are clebrated all over the year by wearing masks and rich, colorful costumes. Anywhere you go in the Caribbean you will experience the diverse culture and the ethnic blend of Spanish, Dutch, Indian and African heritage.

Our favorite and not-to-be-missed festivals are: Reggae Sumfest held in July in Jamaica, Junkanoo held in December in Nassau, Bahamas, Port of Spain's Carnival in Trinidad & Tobago and Santiago's Carnival in the Dominican Republic.

Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party

The St. Lucia Jazz Festival has become one of the major and most anticipated events on St. Lucia and the Caribbean's calendar of events. During the month of May, the island dances when music fills the air and tourism takes on a whole new meaning to all. What started as simply a marketing event to boost the tourism industry arrivals during a low period, has transformed into one of the premiere jazz musical treats of the world and indeed a truly St. Lucian Festival.
